WP Engine Giving Away Free Hosting for Life at WordCamp Denver

What’s up Denver!

We’re pumped to be coming out to the Rocky Mountains to join you for some clear mountain air, and to hang out all weekend talking about WordPress.

We’re sending a couple of folks, Mike Van Winkle, one of our lead developers, and Austin Gunter (me) to hang out at our booth and meet you guys. One of the best parts of our job is getting to hang out with the Community, so please drop by, grab yourself some of our newly designed 100% cotton T-shirts, and some stickers.

Mike, AKA “Wink,” has been working with WordPress since 2004, and will be a great guy to come chat about your site and ask questions about scalability and security. He is giving a talk about using .git for version control. If you buy him a beer, he may even be willing to do a spot check of your PHP!

Austin vividly remembers the day he chose WordPress over Drupal in 2009. It was the right choice. Austin is a content marketer who thrives on building communities and working with startups to connect with their customers using WordPress.

Yes, we will be giving away Free Hosting for Life all weekend long. Come by to be set up on our Personal Plan, free for life. Giving this away is a small “thank you” to the WordPress Community for being part of our growth, and a way to help folks who are brand new to WordPress get their first site up and running.

But what if you’ve seen the WP Engine team at a previous WordCamp, and already have one of WP Engine’s classic (and now discontinued) T-Shirts? That’s awesome! We’d love to see you again and hear how your sites are doing and what your latest projects involve. We also have a gift for you. Everyone who drops by the WP Engine booth wearing a vintage WP Engine t-shirt, will receive a VIP gift (while they last) as a thank you for being a part of our family and choosing our hosting platform.

WP Engine was founded by Jason Cohen and Ben Metcalfe in 2010, and has grown rapidly in the last year. We have over 30 full-time members of the company, each of whom is a WordPress expert in their own right and who provides personal support to everyone who hosts their WordPress site(s) on our Managed WordPress Platform.

Reasons our customers love us

  • Automatic WordPress updates
  • Fully managed (and guaranteed) WordPress security
  • Ludicrous speed and scalability which can boost your Google rankings
  • The most support engineers per customer
  • Automatic, daily updates (Time Machine for WordPress)
  • One-click staging area to test your code
  • Git-Push for version control fully integrated with our platform

In addition to having the most support staff per customer, WP Engine has an exciting list of  developer features like the staging area, automatic daily site backups, and the first full integration of Git-Push with WordPress for version control. We also have a roadmap of features we’re building to make your work with WordPress even better.

We’re doing our job if your work is easier and better on our platform, so please stop by our booth and let us know what you think or if you have questions, or you just want to say hey.

We’re pumped about getting to meet you guys!
