Reception-1140x460

Wow, what a weekend!

I know all of us over here at WordCamp Denver headquarters are beat, but we hope everyone had a great time at WordCamp Denver 2015 and got something great out of it. In the next couple of weeks, we’ll be posting updates on the blog about the session videos that will be uploaded to WordPress.tv. We’ll also sending out an attendee survey in the next couple of days to see what we did well and can improve on.

Thanks again for helping us make WordCamp Denver 2015 successful, and we’ll see you again next time!

Is Anybody Hungry?

coffee

If you are (hungry), we have a great list of places to eat around the WordCamp Denver hotel. All that WordPress talk on Saturday and Sunday will make for some hungry brains! Never fear, we have some suggestions on where to get your noms when you need them.

Breakfast/Coffee/Lunch Breaks
Lunch is provided on Saturday, so you won’t have to go far. However, we know there may be people who want to slip out for a snack, a mocha, or heck, maybe even a mid-day microbrew. So here’s a list of some tried and true places that you may want to escape to when your brain is full and you need a break.

There are several places within a few minutes of the hotel, including:

1. Starbucks (on Larimer) – chain coffee shop
2. The Market (on Larimer) – locally owned coffee shop and euro food market
3. Freshcraft (on Blake) – craft beer and foods

Plus, if you click the image above, you will be redirected to Yelp to see everything within about 10 minutes walking distance.

Dinners
Saturday evening, we’ll be meeting up at the Terminal Bar at Union Station for the WordCamp Denver after party. Starting at 7:00 p.m., we’ll be handing out drink tickets to anybody with a WordCamp badge on a first-come-first-served basis – when they’re gone they’re gone.

To ensure you can enjoy the most of the night, we suggest checking out one of the MANY options in the area for food before the party starts. Just in the 2 blocks housing the Union Station complex alone, you can food options from dim sum to oysters to burgers to steak to sushi. Check out this link for the Yelp listing, and see some our favorites below:

The Kitchen Next Door, Union Station – crafted, local, fresh, with a patio

Wynkoop Brewery – the brewery and restaurant run by our very own governor, John Hickenlooper. Yep, Colorado’s governor is a brewer.

Hopdoddy Burgers – Hybrid service burger bar – order at the counter, they bring it to your table – North of Union Station.

Zoe Ma Ma – 16th and Wynkoop, Dim Sum, locally owned.

We are looking forward to seeing everyone this weekend!
