Hello there! Very excited to see the start of WordCamp Denver 2012! I would love to get involved and help out. Whomever’s organizing, please follow up with me. I may have a sponsor as well.
Cheers,
Derek
I would like more information. Cost, volunteering, etc…
Thank you
Tickets/dates/info? Anxious!
Total Camp newb. Is registration required? Cost?
Thanks, looking forward to it!
So is this thing happening? I’d LOVE to participate, but the lack of content here doesn’t look too encouraging…
More info, please. Cost, Tickets, etc.
Thanks!
Where do you recommend we stay?
Still working on a hotel, details will be posted here.
Are the dates on the site October 12 & 13 for this year or last year? When will you have dates posted. I just purchased tix. Yippeee!!!
Sorry! 13 & 14, I had the dates in the sidebar wrong.
What are dates this year? Is it October 12 & 13th or is that from last year? Looking forward to it!!! Just got tix.
I put the dates into the sidebar wrong, it’s the 13th & 14th.
Would like to attend depending on the topics and speakers. Please let me know as the information becomes available.
Thanks,
Ray
Hi, our schedule just got posted! Check it out: https://2012.denver.wordcamp.org/schedule/
Darn. I got all excited, and then realized it starts on October 13, which is the same day I’m hosting a workshop. Can’t go this year. Bummer.
Sounds fun. I like that I don’t have to travel for this one!!
When I registered, the dates were the Friday and Saturday. Is the Sunday event just the hackathon? Looking forward to Saturday, at least (already have Sunday plans)!
Yep, Sunday is the hackathon. The original dates were incorrect.
Can you tell me if the WordPress Hackathon is limited or can anyone participate that registered for the Saturday conference? I am traveling from out of town and I also wondered about the refund policy on the registration fee?
Thanks
It’ll be open to all WordCamp attendees, and tickets are non-refundable.
As a participant of WCSF 2012, was glad to see that the Saturday sessions are going to be longer than 15 minutes at WCSF; which was way too short to get into any topic in any depth. The Saturday WordCamp Denver topics look good, I would like to see additional sessions on Sunday on topics like: orientation to Twenty Twelve Theme (& what happen to it?), responsive design for mobile devices, WordPress development with Coda, etc. The Sunday Hack Day is a lost day in my opinion and I would like to see another 12 WP sessions to choose from on Sunday. It’s hard to rationalize flying to Denver (or another WordCamp location) for only a one day WordCamp conference.
Since we’re starting WordCamp back up again, it was going to be pretty tough to support a two-day camp. Next year, though! Also, the hack day will be unconference-style so whatever topics are deemed most valuable by the group will be what we talk about.
re: hack day
So we can suggest hack day topics? Wish I knew more about the structured or unstructured itinerary of this part of the conference.
Yep, it’ll be Unconference-style, with suggested topics.
