Speakers and sessions round II

Activity is picking up as we edge closer to the conference, just four short weeks away! Tickets are going fast and lots of people are starting to get excited about WordCamp Denver, we know we are!

As we hinted in the first round update, we have six total town hall-style sessions lined up in addition to our regular conference talks this year. Whether you have questions about eCommerce, growth or marketing, or other topics like development, design, community organizing, or business, we’ve got you covered! It also helps that we’ve managed to bring together some of the most highly-regarded experts in the industry to answer your questions.

And so, please help us welcome our next round of speakers and sessions.

Jason Bahl

Jason BahlJason is a WordPress developer at Digital First Media in Denver, Colorado. He currently works on large publishing sites such as The Denver Post, but has a history of building custom WordPress themes and plugins for marketing, eCommerce and real estate.

Jason will be presenting a development talk about React, Redux and the REST API.


Cami Kaos

Cami KaosCami works at Automattic as a community organizer for the WordPress open source project, working in the WordCamp community conference program. You can think of her as the WordCamp Organizer Organizer 😉

Cami will be co-hosting the Community Organizing Town Hall with Jeremy Green.


Janel Kane

Janel KaneJanel Kane holds a master’s in marketing communication from the University of Denver and has been developing on WordPress for 5 years. She’s a digital marketing specialist, writer, designer, tinkerer, and general nerd-of-all-trades. She lives and works in Denver, CO.

Janel will be presenting a business talk about Translating WordPress for the tech-challenged.


Jon Bellah

Jon BellahJon is a Lead Front-End Engineer at 10up, a world-class web design and development consultancy specializing in WordPress. He is passionate about high performance websites, WordPress, and oxford commas.

Jon will be hosting the Development Town Hall session.

Nathan Ingram

Nathan IngramNathan has been a freelance web developer since 1995, specializing in building easy-to-use websites for clients in numerous industries. He is a regular instructor at iThemes Training where he teaches WordPress and freelance business development topics via live webinar.

Nathan will be presenting a business talk about Dealing With Problem Clients.


Sonja Leix

Sonja LeixSonja is a location-independent WordPress designer and Digital Strategist. She’s an active member of the WordPress community and helps out with community events such as WordCamp Europe. She loves working with passionate people and sharing her experiences with the community.

Sonja will be hosting the Design Critique, a hybrid town hall/panel discussion that will give real-time feedback on submitted websites.


Chris Mospaw

Chris MospawChris Mospaw is a Denver-based computer programmer, published author, web developer,  car enthusiast, great cook, and all around nice guy. He currently works for a company that doesn’t use WordPress, but is the former Senior Lead Developer at Crowd Favorite.

Chris will be giving a development talk about Leveraging WP-CLI.


Jeremy Green

Jeremy GreenJeremy is the owner and lead developer at Endo Creative, a web design company that specializes in building awesome things with WordPress. He has spoken at multiple WordCamps and organizes the Fort Collins WordPress Meetup.

Jeremy is also returning as an organizer for WordCamp Denver for his second year. He will be co-hosting the Community Organizing Town Hall with Cami Kaos.


Robert Jolly

Robert JollyRobert is an accessibility-focused Digital Project Manager with nearly 20 years in the web design industry. He’s worked on web projects with clients from non-profit, government, higher education, small business, start-up, and enterprise organizations.

Robert will be presenting a design talk on Accessibility Testing for WordPress Development.
