You can talk with and learn from other freelancers, developers, designers, agency owners, etc. You can also learn the latest technologies and interact with others located here in Colorado.<\/p>\r\n<!--more-->\r\n\r\n<p>To do that we need members in our community to step onto a stage and share their story. You don\u2019t need to have a special degree or credentials. You just have to have courage and something to share.<\/p>\r\n\r\n<p>Here are a few examples:<\/p>\r\n\r\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\r\n<li>How to write a kickass blog post<\/li>\r\n<li>SEO (technical and otherwise)<\/li>\r\n<li>Onboarding clients<\/li>\r\n<li>What does success look like (as a business)<\/li>\r\n<li>Writing Object oriented code<\/li>\r\n<li>WP Query loop (this could be a workshop)<\/li>\r\n<li>Principles of design for non-designers<\/li>\r\n<li>CSS Grid<\/li>\r\n<li>Advanced Customizer<\/li>\r\n<li>Build tools (maybe a workshop)<\/li>\r\n<li>Gutenberg for:\r\n<ul>\r\n<li>Business owners<\/li>\r\n<li>Content creators (bloggers)<\/li>\r\n<li>Themes<\/li>\r\n<li>Plugins<\/li>\r\n<\/ul>\r\n<\/li>\r\n<li>Introduction to WordPress\r\n<ul>\r\n<li>Domains 101<\/li>\r\n<li>Installing WordPress<\/li>\r\n<li>Picking Your First Theme<\/li>\r\n<li>Essential Plugins<\/li>\r\n<li>Troubleshooting<\/li>\r\n<\/ul>\r\n<\/li>\r\n<\/ul>\r\n\r\n<p>We\u2019ll have short sessions (about 30 minutes) and longer sessions (about 60 minutes). We\u2019ll work with you to pick the right length.<\/p>\r\n\r\n<p>We\u2019re also planning town halls. Which is where we have experts who answer questions about particular topics. Probably design, development, &amp; running an agency. If you want to take part in a town hall submit a talk saying so.<\/p>\r\n\r\n<p>On Sunday we\u2019re planning on having 2-3 hour workshops. Feel free to submit a workshop idea on the same speaker application form. You\u2019ll have a screen and you can show the attendees how to go through something step by step.<\/p>\r\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator\" \/>\r\n<p>Would you be interested in volunteering at the Happiness Bar? We\u2019d love if you could volunteer at the Happiness Bar for the hour after your talk. This won\u2019t affect your speaker application.<\/p>\r\n<hr \/>\r\n<p>We&#8217;ll close the call for speakers on <strong>May 4th<\/strong>.<\/p>\r\n<p>We&#8217;ll let you know one way or the other by the end of May.<\/p>\r\n<p><\/p>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>TLDR: Speaker submissions are open closed.
