In the past few years, we have become more and more involved with local communities where our employees live. We are Meetup and WordCamp organisers, speakers and of course sponsors.

This is also one of the things I will talk about in my Sunday session, “Selfish Contribution”, how to combine healthy business interests with genuine personal involvement and invest both in the community.

A growing number of SiteGround team members are spending part of their time making WordPress. I was honoured to be the release co-lead for WordPress 5.3 and 5.4. My colleagues contribute to different teams (Hosting, Security, Core). We strive to help locally and globally. Many of us are Polyglots by definition since American English is not our native language, so we are active in translating WordPress in different languages.

Meet SiteGround’s Ambassadors, the people who empower communities

Sharing knowledge and being curious are two things that are deeply ingrained in our company life. So it’s just natural that over the years we met many like-minded people that shared our same passion.
